I’m observant. I often see things framed in a photo I feel I should take or wish I had taken.
Whimsical moments that come our way when we choose to see them.
As I was locking the front door leaving for work one morning last week – laden with my briefcase, my handbag, my sunglasses, keys and earphones all carefully balanced – I glanced down the garden path.
My eye caught a solitary dandelion that had popped up in the lawn. The morning sun was shining through the dandelion’s downy orb.
Aah, what a beautiful shot, I thought.
And then – I’m already in a rush, if I don’t leave now, I’ll sit in the traffic. If I stop to take a photo now, I have to put everything down, unlock the door, unpack my camera, change the lens and and and ….
Sanity prevailed.
What is five minutes in a day when you have the opportunity to capture a bit of nature’s magic?
I put everything down, unlocked the door, got out my camera and took a few shots.
My soul fed on those few minutes the whole day.
What made me feel even better, was that I had listened to my inner voice, and taken time to snap the dandelion.
